Applications are invited for a full-time position at a middle management level in the field of social work supervision of child protection services in the West Coast area of the Western Cape, i.e., St Helena Bay, Malmesbury, and Melkbosstrand (Koeberg).

The successful candidate should live within the area as stipulated above.

- Limited support services are available at daycare facilities for children.
Requirements:
- Registered at SACSSP + Proof of payment of annual fee for 2025/26
- Degree in Social Work
- Minimum of five (5) years’ recent experience in child protection services and/or supervision of child protection practitioners, as well as developmental social work services on all four ISDM service levels
- Thorough knowledge and experience of the Children’s Act and other relevant legislation
- Management Skills
- Ability to integrate theory and practice
- Sound and effective administration, Information systems, and workload management
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer Skills
- Police and CPR clearance
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Willingness to travel.
Attributes and skills that would strengthen your application:
- Knowledge and experience of Social Work Supervision
- Knowledge and experience of volunteer services & experience in safety and risk assessment of children & families
- Knowledge and experience of ECD.
To commence work on: July 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, but no later than August 2025.
